I agree with your sentiments. I cannot see the latter option being correct for the simple reason it would destroy any shred of credibility that CTP has with LT holders and lead to a dumping of stock that would threaten the viability of the company. It would be next to impossible to go to SH to raise capital in future and if the SP crashed on the back of lack of SH confidence, would make CTP a likely takeover target from a bigger player.

The possibility of being a takeover target is real while our SP remains in the penny dreadful category. Assuming a commercial find, how attractive does CTP look, with a current market cap of $95m? Even if the SP doubles, $200m for a big player is little more than beer money, in return for getting their hands on CTP. Of course, the higher the SP the more protection it provides against hostile takeover.

Interesting times ahead, whatever plays out.
