Made plenty of losses Most of the time I can console myself with the thought that given the information I knew at the time, it was a pretty fair call and I liberated remaining capital swiftly even though it hurt. Just part of the game not everything works.(Always been lucky I'm numerically illiterate and don't really understand the difference between $2,000 and $200,000 dollars.) Stupidest loss was betting on central government power overriding local government corruption in a developing nation. How stupid can you get. It was a mining spec and I don't invest in mining shares? Worst loss was underestimating the GFC. Thought it was only a passing fad. And it seems it was, but just a few years is a bit long for leveraged positions. Got out with a loss but avoided collapsing other positions by the skin of my teath.
