IMO, there is no chance of the deal going through because PNG's share of OSH was paid for with borrowed money and only for the purpose of getting a seat on the board and having a controlling influence in Oil Search's decisions and operations. They wont get the same cosy relationship with WPL and won't want to be left as an outsider holding a small minor stake in WPL with borrowed money and with no control of its operations and employment opportunities.
