He almost certainly cannot do that.
Richard Nixon made the suggestion, as did his lawyer (not surprisingly) but the DoJ is of the opinion that a President may not pardon himself- and most constitutional law experts agree.
Not surprisingly, it's never been tested in court so it is still an open question.
