One of the differences between our way of doing things and Asians generally, is that here when people with opposing views sit down to negotiate a deal, when the deal is done, if it was split 51% to 49%, 51% would come out claiming victory and 49% come out still opposing it. In the Asian way of reaching consensus, the final deal, after having been endlessly adjusted to get everybody on board, ends up being supported 100% by everybody.
