Labor and the Unions are to blame for youth employment. For a young person to get employment there has to be flexibility to employ first time youth. They make mistakes, they learn and the employers have to take account of that. But Labor do not allow flexibility and demand high wages for inexperienced youth. Then there is all the red tape and green tape to employ people. So you only get a job if experienced and how do you get experience when it is your first job, but you are locked out.
