positive results on Yullerroo 4

"The well has encountered the Upper Laurel Formation, the Lower Laurel Formation, and the Yulleroo Gas Sands substantially on prognosis and as predicted at an elevation some 200 metres structurally lower than Yulleroo 3.

The gas shows, gas wetness ratios, and gas balance plots are very similar to the other Yulleroo wells. The well is also being drilled with higher mud weights than on previous wells and this has resulted in more stable hole conditions.

Commenting on the results to date, Eric Streitberg, Buru’s Executive Director said:

“This is a very pleasing result. The well has been deliberately drilled at a lower structural elevation compared to the other wells, and the gas shows and results to date indicate that the gas accumulation is not controlled by the structural closure as currently mapped by Buru. This gives confidence that the Yulleroo Gasfield is part of a broader Basin Centred Gas System and points to a substantial upside to the resources in the area. Definitive results will require the well to be completed and logged but the results to date are very encouraging.”"

So now that we have confirmation that Yullerroo 4 looks very similar to the other Yullerroo wells......visit comments made prior..before we even began drilling Yullerroo-4.

"The Yulleroo 4 well is therefore being deliberately drilled at the limits of structural closure of the Yulleroo structure, as interpreted from the 3D seismic data acquired over the field in 2011. The well will test the extent of the gas column in this part of the accumulation and is expected to confirm Buru’s interpretation that the Yulleroo field is part of a geographically extensive basin centred gas accumulation extending beyond the mapped structural closure. If this is proved to be the case, the Yulleroo area has the potential to hold multi TCF’s of gas,” Buru said in a statement."

It's looking more like another BCGA. How many TCF at Yullerroo? What did we have at Valhalla again? Time to start a larger testing program.
