Todays Yunnan earthquake highlights again the precarious nature of tin metal supply , that is concentrated in 3 areas in the whole world.Yunnans tin province is one of the major suppliers . The other major suppliers are Indonesias Bangka Island area and Bolivia .None are exactly stable areas for one reason or another .It could be days before any impact on tin or other base metals becomes known .Impact may simply be caused by power supply cuts to the smelters .
Base metals may spike on monday depending on any possible impacts from the earthquake .
Tin is particularly vulnerable ,due to the concentrated world supply and critically low stockpile levels.
