With thousands of Punty soldiers returning home, the economic and military drain on the region will be greatly reduced. Puntland will find itself in a much better position to defend its territory. Funds will be able to be channeled into the local economy. This will be especially important if/when oil is found. An autonomous Puntland will become the powerhouse in Somalia and a force to be reckoned with. Finally, the shackles of the TFG which only seemed to drag Puntland down, may have been removed
No doubt, Ethiopia will maintain the good relationship they currently have with Puntland as it's in their best interests.
As for the TFG, who knows, but the different Islamist militias are already fighting amongst themselves.
