By your take on BNPL, what people will just start paying full float upfront in cash will they?.
Even if what your proposing does eventuate, people need food, clothing, house items, pay bills etc etc etc the BNPL model allows for splitting even essential costs up so that cashflow can be used as required for the average household I.e making sure the mortgage is paid on time.

would bad debts rise - yes obviously, but in the world your describing businesses go into survival mode not profitable beyond belief mode. All of the comparative markets you have always harped on about would be affected as well - especially those safe old banks.
