Yes but for essential items BNPL relies on a share of interchange fees which are a mere pittance.
Food, and energy suppliers are facing escaping costs and have no reason to pay "merchant fees" of 4-6 percent.
Bas debts as recently seen by Sezzle are starting to be a major percentage of income.
When that percentage exceeds or approaches the nett transaction margin then BNPL is in serious trouble.
