Was watching Lateline Business on the ABC tonight when Ali Moore interviewed the Caltex CEO, and I must say he made some VERY interesting comments, such as:
- Australia currently imports 50% of its diesel requirements (very surprising). Are those bells I hear ringing?
- He expects diesel and jet fuel growth to far outpace gasoline in the coming decades. In fact gasoline usage is slowing.
- The more the competitive pressures rise from the high volume Asian refiners, the more likely refineries in Australia will shut down. The
