Thanks Grey Nomad. When I read the post it sounds like there’s fundamental overtones of your “investable universe” before you consider the chart. It reads to me there’s way more than 5% of your investment process and decision making dedicated to fundamentals. My own thoughts with using charting is that you see what you see, and experience is key. Learning and applying them over a longer time frame you begin to see more, and then eventually you pair back the “chart noise” (ie the charting tools and signals you don’t really consider important for your own methods) and refine your process and find comfortable “signals”. My query with your initial post stems from the fact that you said “Elliot wave is amazingly accurate most of the time”.
