What a load. Well into the GFC (2008) they introduced a resource tax and oh yes, raised other taxes and then they wondered why mining reduced?
Of course the miners were "happy" when it was rescinded in 2009 - what were they supposed to be "disappointed"?
There is nothing in this "news" item and very little that applies to Oz - unless of course you are referring to the fact that both countries are on the same... PLANET.
