it's not really criticism, it's more a statement that nobody knows how they do it.
The most criticism has been about EEStors silence.
If it wasn't for Lockheed Martin and Kleiner-Perkins coming onboard, you could be forgiven for thinking that it was similar to free energy vapourware; though it's still yet to be proven that it's not.
Be interested to see the report on the "independent verification".
