Todays announcement by ZEO of a collaboration with Cleanaway to validate the efficacy of ZEOs manufactured zeolites in the abatement/mitigation of methane emissions from waste dumps is a major step forward for the company. We have our energy minister saying today that Australia will sign up with 140 countries around the world to reduce methane emissions by 30% by 2030. Well…look this way Mr Bowen.
Methane emission from waste dumps is a massive global problem, with governments around the world putting pressure on waste dump operators to ‘clean up the game’. The commercial upside here for ZEO is massive with successful trials validating the process. The process of methanotrophs devouring methane is not new, it is well documented, we just need to demonstrate the process in a real world environment..ie Cleanaway’s waste dumps.
ZEO is progressing well with its verticals. The company is producing sample quantities of its high-grade low-cost synthetic zeolite for dispatch to interested end users around the world. In my opinion we will see a very real commercial outcome in this space in the near future, patient shareholders will be richly rewarded.
I’m also tipping that we will shortly see an update from Griffith University on the fertiliser delivery work using synthetic zeolite to reduce nitrous oxide emissions in agriculture, another development with global implications. Stay tuned.
