I am a TAR holder with both a core position and a trading position.
I invested because I like management, the projects, their size and the potential impact that success in any of these projects will have on the company’s market cap.
Having been a holder for a while now, these are my thoughts for what they are or aren’t worth:
· Management is very experienced, capable and market savvy, with plenty of skin in the game. The initial drill programme at the MCCP with the fast tracked, cherry picked assays resulted in the strong price move that, of course, hasn’t been sustained. To do the same again with this programme would’ve looked rather silly. That’s why they didn’t do it.
· With the share price having fallen back as much as it did, yesterday’s REE report at Morgan’s Creek was timely and a very nice bonus. It is early days there and I’m definitely no REE expert, but I like what I see.
· We know that a DD is due on site at Wyacca any day – expect a report – and interesting core could be available for reporting within days of commencement of drilling, so hold onto your hats. It would also make sense that they’d want to know their RC results so as to optimize their DD programme.
· We also know that Wyacca results are due any tick of the clock. Obviously I don’t know what those results will show but I think the market may be surprised. Following the previous roller coaster, the market will not be willing to take these guys on face value – they’ll have to prove themselves with results.
I think we need to remember that all this drilling is early stage and testing a geological model that is evolving as more data comes to hand. We know the company has copper – and high grade copper at that. We also know the company has tens of kilometers of potentially mineralized structures to test. If their geological model is confirmed, this stock has the potential to multi-bag, and this could happen in the very short term.
It’s my view that perhaps the company should look to JV some of their projects with a major as I don’t believe they have the bandwidth to do justice to their extensive exploration portfolio. However, if you look at DRE, they also have a number of potential company makers yet have managed to find decent market support.
When the stock jumped all the way back in May, the stock moved from the high 4c range to the high 5c range in late April on increased volume and traded there for a week before exploding upward. Over the past couple of days, volumes have started to rise. As outlined in yesterday’s report, we know have imminent news flow. Could history be about to repeat?
The first time I was involved in TAR, it almost shook me out before the big move up. Luckily I had the courage or luck to hang around. I’m going to do the same this time, as if results are as hoped for and the geo model is confirmed, the stock will explode up and stay there, with diamond drilling immediately thereafter to keep the interest going.
