In short I agree with much of yr post,but only regarding the initial roll out of 5g ie netflix even private automated vehicles.The same remote surgery is probably more life saving than money making. But i'm suggesting more the quantum computing,qantum machine learning,AI,the speed and bandwidth that can be increased well beyond 5g current 'potential' speeds and bandwidth. by including 6g in parts of the 5g network.These areas as they develop and imo they will develop will produce a competitive advanatage for commercial and military use.etc etc. For me the bottom line is the japanese and korean research into 6g,both countries have always led in mobile technology development.This time it is different as posted,this time trump has no intentions of being left behind in 6g development and china is the same.ie the apparent characteristic of the frequencies to penetrate walls,view beneath the sea surface etc etc.ie locating any sneaky subs etc.
The technology should absolutely be researched in australia,and I believe organisations within australia and as GR posted tls are starting to understand the potential of including 6g spectrum in the 5g network.etc etc etc.Not necessarily rolling out a 6g network. Anyway,as posted china expects to start rolling out 6g in 2030,some expect it maybe earlier,hmm lets see what happens,and their competitive advantages wont be netflix ,automated private vehicles or remorte surgery.imo
