"People with seriously big money will always find ways to rort the system."

Logically, if you have the money to purchase the smarter assistance you would.
The average blue collar worker probably goes to H & R Block for their tax return to be done.
Then the bloke who has a business to run and earns a little more probably goes to a local Accountant.
The bigger business probably goes to an Accountancy firm and pays a lot more and utilises their knowledge to minimise the tax they are liable for.

The multi millionaire would use a firm of Accountants recommended by his peers more than likely who advise on every move he makes and where and how to set his affairs up so as to minimise the tax payable...the system of taxation laws we have allows that.

Our taxation laws are clumsy and complex, they need to be thrown in the bin and start again.
Every year the Governments of both sides add more laws and complexity to the system making it more unwieldy.
As an example the taxation legislation in Singapore are contained in one "book" you can carry in one hand. Try that with our over complex and complex taxation laws...
