Nothing to worry about tgwm. ZeroGen are 'not' doing UCG. They are doing above ground gasification which is very expensive compared to UCG (because they have to mine the coal).

Have a look at this page - http://www.zerogen.com.au/technology/integratedgasificationcombinedcycle.aspx and you will see the diagram showing coal mining as the method of feeding the gasification plant.

Its going to be hard now for companies deciding to jump on the UCG bandwagon and being 'successful' as there are not many experienced engineers, management or scientists to employ. CNX is well placed with experienced staff, successful technology and backing. IPL will soon have invested approx $14.3million into CNX. They must be happy with what they see and know.
