Zhejiang Tiandi are still very active and are probably the most interesting R&D partner for Fluence.
They have about 20 projects at the township/tourist village level, and most of those have been used by various government ministers for in-person promotion meetings which are used for future larger investment decisions. Each project has been very different, using a mix of Aspiral containers in a number of different configurations, including the first buried model, and a range of sizing of SUBRE models and most have been promoting re-use of effluent and a nice "park like" environment for the public.
They are starting to become a middle-man for further sales, having now brought in additional SOEs/large partners with a 700m3/d SUBRE installation at a nuclear power plant, and a 400 m3/d SUBRE installation at the #1 rated service area in Zhejiang province (hopefully the start of a Hubei iTEST-like highway service area push).

There is definite interest here, ministers from other provinces have even visited Zhejiang MABR installations with a view to bring the tech to their provinces, but we will never know just how much COVID has slowed investment decisions down. For example iTEST in Hubei are only just getting to do some of the promotional activities they had originally planned for mid 2020, so they are over 2 years behind their MABR sales strategy in terms of expanding out to other provinces.
You won't hear about much of this in detail from Fluence directly unless there are bulk orders, as the new US leadership team seems to be pushing for more of a focus on business outside of China due to current restrictions. However, as it stands, Tiandi in Zhejiang province have generated more than double the revenue and installations than the whole of the USA for Fluence, and MABR tech in Zhejiang province has risen to the top of competing technologies for decentralized sewage treatment between 100-800 m3/d sized installations.
Tiandi seems happy with the tech, and it is in their interests to grow this segment, as they have been trying to get a sharemarket listing for this division, but they need to reach a certain level of revenue before that can happen. So despite us feeling like not much is happening "WHERE ARE THESE BULK ORDERS?!?!" there are things simmering in China where partners have their own objectives to reach, and they will do their best to make things happen once the economic conditions improve and the money is made available.
