Tomorrow's press media will have a field day with the Telstra Board split last week on launching a takeover bid for FXJ (both Ziggy and Mansfield were rolled by the other Directors, led by Chisholm, Livingstone and CML's John Fletcher).
Next month (23rd March), the Senate Communications Committee is likely to hand down a damning report on the state of the Australian telecommunications network (principally, Telstra's copperwire network, etc).
Preparation and finalisation of the report has already been extended 3 times, including most recently from 12th February.
So, at or near to $5.00, a good UTILITY stock, paying almost a regulated dividend, but not a growth stock. Expect buying weakness in the coming weeks.
