zinc price trend

Zinc price developing nicely since early March. Unfortunately, stock levels continue to remain high. This indicates that the price is at this point driven more by speculation than by actual demand. Speculators seeming to hope that zinc (viz., steel) demand will pick up in the coming months. Share prices of steel processors have also been on the rise, corroborating this conclusion. It has been a long winter in the northern hemisphere (I know what I'm talking about), let's hope zinc demand is indeed going to heat up once the snow melts and construction season starts in Europe, the US and the colder parts of China.
