zinc requirements

In actual fact this is the true SPOT market...... metals sold on London Metals Exchange are sold at just that....LME prices. (anyway thats not important)

In the more than dozen or so adds in the last few weeks seeking zinc.....probably you could put together requirements of 80,000 tons per annum. Metalsplace also run the same type of service, as Alibaba for buyers/sellers. Note....if you expand the information, many would be buyers are offering to pay a LME premium of up to US$100 per ton.

By far however.....most buyers deal with trading companies setup by the mining companies for sale and despatch of zinc metal from the smelters such Toho zinc. Of course no CBH zinc will end up at a LME depot....this means all of it will be sold at a premium to LME prices.

Different to copper, aluminium and even nickel....there are virtually no delivers to LME warehouses anymore.

Why would a zinc supplier ever use the LME again....when there is this big unmeet zinc demand, and very keen buyers....via logging on to Alibaba, just for starters..
