There is a actually physical zinc shortage coming - however it will be exacerbated as finance houses and hedge funds etc increase their positions in zinc in anticipation of the shortages and increase in prices

One would image when Macquarie makes there call for US$1.45 by Q1 2018 that they have already loaded up in anticipation (like Goldman's call for US$200 per barrel oil - though in Macquarie's case I thing they are right and in fact maybe a little conservative.

As FG's charts show there seems a particular shortage of physical stocks of zinc re the premium paid for physical delivery - plus todays Bloomberg shows China's demand for Rebar steel up in the last 3 months - so no slow down there.

Given that RVR was previously up at A$0.28 - I am hoping a good 2 Qtr / June Activity / Operations report will plus increasing zinc prices will see us pushing up beyond that
