re: market manipulation at its best the whole zinc market was sold down today (avg 3%).. even though zinc is up today at a record 1.56 per pound!
I expect to be v. positive due to the impact on earnings as the price per lb has gone through the roof vs the conservative figures used in previous forecasts (I think but could be corrected that forecasts we done at 90c/lb).
Q2 report discussed prices in the range of A$1590-2590 per tonne (about US$54c to 88c/lb).
Century is by far the major contributor to earnings, so good production there will crystallise what we can expect for '06, expecting a v. strong earnings upgrade very soon..
