    You use the term 'transcribe' which means to copy or translate - are you sufggesting that one person sat down at one time and transcibed/copied/translated a collection of previous works and gave it a numbering system? If this is the case are you also suggesting that no changes were made to the original scripts? Quite a piece of work for one person to undertake - probably around 2-300 AD when the New Testament would have been completed.
