Australia is a good bit behind on interest rate rises seen elsewhere. The RBA hoping the Fed will do the heavy lifting for it on wholesale interest rates. The shallow technical recession the US saw is only the beginning of what will be a long unimpressive period of economic stagnation. Expect tepid profit growth in big caps for the next couple of years.
