im a mortgage broker and can confirm that different banks have different policies to buy now pay later - the issue with the home loan situation is people are borrowing so much at the bank they literally have no extra credit capability its a reflection on the person borrowing for home loan if your servicing relies on closing a zip or apt facility, its easier than ever to borrow a tonne of money and people are just taking it literally to the dollar max
