Why did Zip say no to you for wanting to open an account?
If Zip want to fight back they need to understand that banks have always asked to cancel credit cards, even small amounts when applying for a home loan. It's been like this since before BNPL existed. So naturally BNPL accounts would be included.
And since it's always been like this, Zip and other BNPL providers should actively seek out those people who canceled their account due to a home loan and allow them to sign back up straight after their settlement date. It should be part of the process. Don't just cry to the media and punish people like yolocambo from opening their accounts back up.
