the opportunity to short was when this was at $10 for no fundamental reason. BNPL, despite the terrible business model, is not going anywhere. These services are way too popular, especially for younger consumers. zip (imo) wont go under, but they'll most likely get a hostile takeover by a big bank (similar to APT but not such an absurd valuation) for their client lists and perhaps even the brand name. BNPL doesn't really work as a stand alone business, but it works great as a bolt-on for a larger financial institution (hence why the big4 are all releasing their own BNPL services).
Not sure how much you can make going short at current prices, as I can't really see this going to zero. Not really worth the risk at these prices imo
