Zips actually generating 50 percent more revenue than Afterpay per TTV dollar sonits unit economics are superior
Margin erosion is a real issue with Afterpay as it's chase for growth puts it into a very inferior situation to zip. Very little fat in Afterpays model which has been chasing growth at all costs, at silly costs
Even with this stupid dash for growth shown by Afterpay zips quadpay business continues to outshine Aftwrpays US business on its growth trajectory.
Something isn't right with the Afterpay business model.
You have to wonder why Klarna, Affirm and Zip all have similar business models and have diversified their products and also have the highest revenue to TTV in the industry
I wouldn't be surprised in 3-5 years if Afterpay doesn't improve its unit economics investors value it at a significant discount to its peers.
Afterpay rising 5 percent off no news just shows.peiple.are buying it off FOMO. It's shareprice is out of control; well done to anyone who has made good money off Afterpay but you just can't justify its price multiples given its poor unit economics compared to its peers
How can Afterpay that is charging 6-7 merchant to merchants and turning over 12 times a year only be generating 4.48 percent revenue?!!!?! They just have an incredibly high operating cost and very poor financial management. I'm guessing a big chunk of Afterpays revenue will now be coming in from its interest from its latest capital raise since it's not making very good strides to improve its revenue generation
Zip is the stand out on this metric along with Affirm
Only those bnpl that have diversified their product protfolio have ever shown profit in the last 10 years.
Is Afterpays model better, or is it just a matter of time before their trickery reporting is found out and exposed?
