Obviously a business gotta survive and layoffs are nothing new. But it's pretty terrible to be changing from aggressively hiring to large redundancy in a quarter or so. Shows some serious financial planning and management failures. Considering onboarding time and redundancy，the company essentially paid 6 months of salary and got little value out of the employee，while also leaving a bad taste in everyone's month and suffering reputational damage in the tech community.
