Affirm also has only 223M shares on issue. Zip is now racing toward penny stock territory at 670m and due to crack the mid 700M shortly. As has been said before, it's too late.

They've already diluted the hell out of everyone, printing money for themselves, the family, the wife's retirement fund, other CEOs of loss making train wreck BNPLs overseas. The shares are so liquid that you could probably buy $5m worth without affecting the price by more than 1c.

They'll need more money, which will mean more shares - and they're burning cash at a mind-blowing rate. They've purchased even more debt and operating expenses, so I really can't see any green fields from here.

Other companies with lots of headroom to issue new shares to fund their businesses? Yeah, for sure - they could probably sell the 'we're expanding!' narrative to offload freshly printed shares to people, but Zip has really done their dash. The only hope would be to wait long enough for burned investors to fade away a bit, and be replaced by a whole heap of new, unaware investors who consider $1.50 to be the average price. I don't like their chances, this company is so poorly run that it will run broke without another CR in the next 6-12 months (if their last reported losses are anything to go by).
