the reason we no longer have frontal lobotomy is because it hurt a lot of people, but it worked for a few, that is it worked for the people who were close to the patient receiving lobotomy, but, you couldnt do a double-blind, controlled placebo study ...and it was held in tight review....until finally the severity was recognised and sentiment toward its belligerence was recognized...a lot of people drank the coolaide about frontal lobotomys...a lot of peer pressure to do the proceedure, societal based, not study-based, social peer pressure based.....youre doing the same thing, the poeple who are proponents of this field of medicine are doing the same thing, so, let's make it a field of research and not go storming the castle for the few (positive) results todate

if you inject a tumour with bicarb soda and the patient recovers does that negate all the patients who died from the same attempt, if you inject vitamin 17 into same tumour and get a recovery does that negate all the patients who died from the same attempt , if you drip acai berry juice, or crush raw garlic or sulphurphane phyto/cyto (whatever) onto a cancer cell in a dish and get apoptosis (and you will) does that mean we should IV and have a patient recover, yeah, sure, but how many will die in the process and how many will we ignore so the emotively driven can get their us-against-the-world jollies?
