There is excess gas produced in this country, it's exported because they make more money by doing so.
Increase the price gas is sold domestically to match export prices & more gas will be available (subject to contracts in place for export supply).
But of course that would increase electricity prices even further than just simply have a higher supply from renewables.
Is Dutton going to force gas companies to break their contractual export agreements to supply more gas domestically?
Is Dutton going to subsidise the price of gas sold domestically to power generators?
Or is Dutton going to compensate gas exporter's for their losses?
Comrade Dutton seems to be capable of interfering in the free markets in all manner of ways at the moment.
