There is a bit of work to do with EV for trucks yet.
I run a fleet of trucks and have 1 hybrid with OK results. Currently there is no solution for total EV.
The currently available all electric trucks have limited range and carrying capacity. The hybrids have long ROI's.
There is movement at the station but just starting.
Nikola in the US has started making gas/electric big rigs. And a new company AVASS started in Oz making EV commercial vehicles but to spec atm and not readily available. They are getting batteries from China but will be making these here soon.
There seems to be momentum in battery production for Australia. Interesting that we are competitive in this area. Great news for manufacturing. As one industry shuts down another blossoms.

I would say at least 5 years more likely 10 years until they are mainstream.

Can you move to the top of the hill in the meantime? Haha.
