The 3 major cellphone networks have all announced cell to satellite capabilities on the horizon, without the need for customers to upgrade their phones.
OneNZ (formerly Vodaphone) is going with SpaceX.
2degrees is going with Lynk.
Can't remember who Spark is wirking with, may not have been disclosed yet.
I've considered buying Zoleo, but at the moment still have a Garmin Inreach.
But when the network providers have cell to satellite capabilities, I imagine I'll ditch the garmin. And potentially many Zoleo users will do the same.
