No Rob, I didnt see the Hill End stuff, but to to utilise a raise bore you need a diesel bogger on remotes to bog the cuttings,,, because a the shear amounts of mullock produce and b you cannot allow anyone near the bottom of the raise, hence the need for a remote control bogger,.
Sorry but to be honest I'm taking the companies figures re tonnes up the shaft per day with a grain of salt (I will probably be proven wrong,, but until then,,,)
Am I right in assumming that they are using 3/4ton trucks in the cage to hoist with or 1/2 ton trucks? (there is no way you could fit anything bigger i don't reckon,,) unless with out modfying the entire hoisting system and fitting 1 ton skips.
I put together a little time and motion spreadsheet for a project a little while ago for a mine about the same size,, of course hoist speeds may vary a bit and the depth of wind will be different but here is what happened.
(Morning Star may get a bit better winder availability,,,say 5hrs per 8 hr shift)
Sorry the spreadsheet didnt copy across so its a bit messy.
XXXXX Mine Hoisting System Capacity
Assuming 1 x 8hr shift per day, 5 days per week Hoisting Distance 137.5m (Level 2) (assuming winder availability @ 4 hrs/per shift) Cycle Time 253.72 sec Cycles/Hour 14.19 Tonnes/Cycle 0.6 Tonne/Hr 8.514 tonnes x 4hrs 34.056 tonnes p/day x 240 days 8,173.44 tonnes
Trucks Hoisted/Hour 14.19 trucks x 4hrs 56.76 trucks p/day x 240 days 13,622.4 trucks
Hoisting Distance 158.6m (Level 3)(assumiing winder availablility @ 4 hrs per shift) Cycle Time 279.72 sec Cycles/Hour 12.87 Tonnes /Cycle 0.6 Tonne/Hr 7.722 tonnes x 4hrs 30.888 tonnes p/day x 240 days 7,413.12 tonnes
Trucks Hoisted/Hour 12.87 trucks x 4hrs 51.48 trucks p/day x 240 days 12,355.20 trucks Assuming 65% of all tonnes hoisted is waste
Level 2 Waste 5312.736 tonnes Ore 2860.704 tonnes x 12 grams 34,328.448 grams x $35.00 Au $1,201,495.68 Level 3 Waste 4,818.528 tonnes Ore 2,594.592 tonnes x 12 grams 31,135.104 grams x $35.00 Au $1,089,728.64 LOL !!! sorry got carried away,, but you can see that 100 tonnes per day (1 shift) up the shaft would would be a big ask.
The best recorded in the above mine was 100 x 3/4 ton trucks (av .6 ton) in an 8 hr shift but that was utilising a double deck cage hoisting 2 trucks at a time.
Ok back to my Stone's Mac :)
