The article states that the company had not sought authorisation from the MHRA to make claims about its hand sanitisers’ effectiveness against coronavirus. Perhaps the MHRA adopts the same HS advertising requirements as the TGA based on WHO recommendations. If not, why doesn't ZNO simply apply to have its HS approved to be advertised as 99.9% effective against COVID-19? In any case, I think the article probably does more good than damage for ZNO in the UK because it effectively provides free advertising for a product that is 99.9% effective.
