I think the big difference this time is Petrobras.

They are extremely experienced and will be hoping to strike gas on the 1st drill but a failure on the 1st drill will not deter them, may not be pleasant for the shareprice at the time, but this will be inconsequential to them as they are only interested in drilling till they hit something big. They dont spend the sort of money required for this type of exploration to fail.
