    Yep, brilliant movie.

    George McDonald Frasier did a book on that event placing Flashman in the thick of it.

    He was a great historic writer and the research that he did to make his books as accurate as possible while slipping in his fictional character "Flashy" was amazing.

    The Pommy Prat running the show had the option of taking the new Gatling guns with him but poo pooed the idea as he was old school and thought a stiff upper lip and a red jacket would turn the natives to water.
    I think it was the first time that the call to "Form a square " had failed ever or at least for a very long time?

    Caine has to be on of my favourite actors.

    Always has that mischievous glint in his eye regardless of what movie.
