Hey everyone
Firstly, congratulations to everyone who had an epic day on DUO.
For those not familiar, I write my own personal research reports when I invest in a stock; I'm always happy to share them. Hopefully you get something out of it. This is just a basic run down on the pertinent points in the Zyber presentation released today.
This is 100% true - anyone who has worked in a large multi national or global corporation realises that negligent end users are the bane of IT and security divisions. The security measures are usually designed to address issues which arise (reactive instead of proactive, which is what Zyber seems to achieve)
The main issue corporations are facing is the generational overlap in smartphone usage - I was speaking with a mate who is involved in IT and security at Lend Lease; he said they have huge issues trying to teach some of the "dinosaurs" how to use their smartphones securely. This ties into the "negligent end user" statement in the red box above.
I'm familiar with this industry, but this took me aback - what an absolute huge market for us to enter into with our acquisition of Zyber!
I'm not sure how it further breaks down between system glitches and human error - but let's say 1/3 of data breaches (conservative) are caused by human error. Talk about needing an overwatch system to take the human error out of the equation.
Implement enterprise level access controls for all cloud file-sharing services - as a recommendation this sounds great. But the reality of implementing a top down data security policy for staff using DropBox is almost impossible.
You then enter the "negligent end user" scenario, where human error is unavoidable.
And here enters Zyber - a secure, collaboration and data sharing platform - the main take home point, and it's USP, is that it does not leave a digital footprint - if a member of an organisation loses their phone, or their phone is stolen, of hacked into, the device itself contains no data.
Remember the statistic above? Around 1/3 - 2/3 of data breaches are due to negligent end users - and then have a look at the big red box - Zyber virtually eliminates the negligent end user as a threat to the security of mobile networks.
Probably worth reading that a few times and letting the penny drop, as this, for me, is the big, fat, screaming "BUY MORE DUO SHARES TOMORROW" message.
This is probably overlooked by most, but for me it's a big point - FTP servers are a huge ingress point for hackers - and email attachments (think of all the malware which is buried into email attachments). Zyber eliminates the need of FTP servers and email attachments - it really seems to strip back all the areas of vulnerability in cyber security for mobile devices.
The next points talk about the technology - there's not much I can offer on it, so I'll fast forward to the next part.
Now THIS got me into a bunta mood when I read it, as I've heard of Teradici - they are huge. Some research on them below;
Teradici are the inventors of PCoIP - in a nutshell, instead of transmitting "data", PCoIP transfers a virtual image from the data centre - the information never leaves the data centre, meaning it is not open to malware intrusion. All technical, but it does offer a layer of extra protection and reduces the negligent end user (basically what Zyber is aiming to do).
So; Zyber has entered into a development agreement with Teradici. It would be interesting to see some of the corporations that Teradici has partnered with / currently work with. Here's a list.
Amazon Web Services
Cisco (yes, Cisco)
Racktop
Fujitsu
HP
IBM
DELL
LG
These are the big names that people will instantly know, and are global companies with thousands, if not tens of thousands of staff, who would all benefit from a stand alone piece of software like Zyber for their staff.
And we have executed a development agreement. Wow.
On top of that there is a HOA out with an ASX listed company. As I don't know the company, I can't comment.
But talk about SP catalysts moving forwards - they've not just told us they've acquired Zyber, they're telling us deals are already being signed and agreed. No wonder we saw such action today.
No ... thank YOU Zyber, and thank you DUO, the gift that will keep on giving.
