I am no expert in this area but do know ZYL went into VOLUNTARY ADMINISTRATION (only 6 months ago) which is a very different situation to LIQUIDATION. As many Companies re-emerge from Voluntary Administration to run very successful businesses for years, a shareholder tax loss cannot be claimed until a Company is liquidated.
ASIC Information Sheet 43 explains this in language we can all understand.
