Is ZYL relisting? Normally for administration you cant claim a tax loss until the wind down process is finished. Often this can take years depending on number of creditor claims etc. The system really stinks in this regard. Its like another kick in the face when you've already lost money, that you cannot then claim the loss straight away.

If the company is relisting, then you cannot claim the loss either as you have not realised the loss through a sale of shares. You have to wait for relisting.

Not sure if there is an option for claim of exemption under hardship circumstances. Probably best to speak to an accountant.
