Perhaps, (and that is juts IMO), the Chinese wouldn't be to happy to allow that to happen as they would have to top up some more themselves if they were to retain their existing percentage holdings. Especially if only AUSTRALIAN shareholders were allowed to participate.
Does that make sense to you and others.??
Besides, I don't think that that would be legal at all, because it would discriminate against other existing shareholders.
Oh yes, I can sense what your response will be now. But there is a difference between retail shareholders and sophisticated investors whereby two sets of rules are allowed. One Law for us and one Law for them.
