Yes Ching had an areaof 12 square km (diameter of 4.5 km) and an initial volume estimate of 123mbbls, same net oil column of around 29m. Makes you wonder how they found such a SMALL accumulation ... LOL! Hasn't Cairn been quoted as saying SNE has an area of 360 square km? In any case FAR says 330. So 25 times the size at least. Cath has said it looks like a simple container of oil ... but we need the interference testing to confirm.
The other point is the talk of being able to proceed with a "phased" development of the central blocky sands. And of course in terms of "commerciality" of a project FAN could (once further proven) be tied in as well (even if Bel is not a goer).
Its all a LOT bigger than Mauritania was for HDR and WPL. As are the gas discoveries made by Kosmos.
