Some questions that come to mind regarding the recently announced operational restructure.

BET announced it would save $21.5M p.a. by reducing global operations and technology staff by 128.

This equates to an average of $168K p.a. per person.

The average annual salary for software engineers:

    ·In Australia is $AUD 127K (from Glassdoor)

    ·In Sri Lanka is $LKR 4.9M= $AUD 23K (from Glassdoor)

The number of Linkedin user Betmaker employees has reduced from 166 at its peak to 160. One of these six departed users was the previous US CEO Christian Stuart.

Employees in the UK, US, and Australia are likely to be LinkedIn users.

A few questions that come to mind:

·From which country (countries) are the 128 roles that were made redundant?

·Was a premium paid for these roles relative to local conditions?

·What were these roles that were made redundant?

·What, specifically, was done to allow the roles to be made redundant? I.e., what does “leveraging technology monitoring and reporting capabilities” mean in practice?
