Good news that Rotnest is going to be developed with 4.5 star hotel and upgraded facilities. Although we are the world's most highly paid, miners and maritime , builders etc, we have a section of the population that feel that we should be like the old socialist countries and provide free or subsidised accommodation and holidays for the masses.
Hopefully the higher standards and increasing costs will encourage the yobbos, bogans and hoons to take off to Bali for cheap holidays, accommodation, service, booze and food (no double time on Sundays for the Balinese!).
