Just watching Russia's war memorial day march, celebrating victory over Germany. Let's not forget that Russia did not start that war and its victory is a very sacred celebration to them, especially the millions they lost. It needs to be remembered too that, while we might rightly regard the Ukraine situation as an unwarranted invasion, to the Russian people, not just its leaders, Ukraine represents an integral part of its homeland. (This despite Stalin starving many of them to dearh and despite going back further, parts of it were integrated with other countries ).
